Scott brings more than 35 years of experience leading highly successful specialty lines underwriting and broker operations. After several years as a financial institutions underwriting manager at AIG, Scott enjoyed a very successful seventeen-year run with Gulf Insurance, where he was responsible for over $600M in gross written premium including numerous MGA and program operations. Scott was involved in one of the earliest Transactional Risk facilities for Representations & Warranties insurance.

STEVEN H. ANDERSON
Chief Executive Officer, President, and Co-founder
Steve possesses more than 30 years of experience leading specialty claims, underwriting and distribution operations. A graduate of Georgetown University Law School, Steve led the management and professional lines client advisory operations for two major U.S. brokers before co-founding BlueChip. Steve has successfully structured some of the largest and most complex management and professional liability insurance claim workouts.

BRANDON ANDERSON
Vice President, Analyst
Brandon joined BlueChip in 2020 as an Analyst. Prior to joining BlueChip, he spent over 4 years at AIG as an Underwriter in the Financial Institution Practice. He has experience underwriting professional lines of insurance coverage including Directors & Officers Liability, Professional Liability, Employment Practices, and Cyber Liability. Brandon has a Bachelor’s in Business from Rutgers University.

KYLE ANDERSON

Kyle joined BlueChip in 2018 as an Analyst and was promoted to an Underwriter in 2022. In addition, Kyle is responsible for various operational roles within BlueChip including Technology, Marketing and Distribution. Prior to joining BlueChip, he worked for a policy analytics and consulting group in Washington, D.C., where he contributed to the analysis and coverage of public M&A transactions. Kyle holds a Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Maryland.

Josh joined BlueChip in 2022 as an Analyst. Prior to joining BlueChip, he spent 5 years in the banking industry with Bank of America holding various positions. He was the recipient two years in a row of the Top 100 Performers in the Northeast for Bank of America. Josh has a Bachelor’s in Business from Rutgers University.

He is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law where he served as a Senior Staff Member on the St. John’s Law Review as well as a Research and Teaching assistant. She is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law and is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Fordham University.

Prior to joining the company he spent 4 years with Skadden Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP as an Associate in the mergers and acquisitions and financial institutions group. Prior to Skadden, Colin spent 4 years at the United States Department of Health and Human Services working on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Colin is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and is a member of the New York Bar Association. He received a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Economics from Duke University.

Prior to joining the company full time, she spent time at a law firm in New York City as part of the property and casualty insurance coverage group. Lauren is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law and is admitted to the New York State Bar. She received her Bachelor’s in Political Science and Economics from Moravian College.

Chris joined BlueChip at the end of 2022 as Controller. He has over 7 years of experience in both public and private accounting, as well as M&A growth management. He has a Master’s in Business and a Bachelor’s in Accounting, both from Providence College, and is a licensed CPA in the State of New York.

MICHAEL RECCHIA

Mike joined BlueChip in 2023 as an Underwriter and Head of Tax. He most recently practiced tax law at Bracewell LLP where he advised clients in the energy, infrastructure and real estate industries on the US tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions, and debt and equity investments. Mike earned both his J.D. and LL.M in taxation (with distinction) from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.S. (magna cum laude) in finance, with a minor in accounting, from The College of New Jersey. Mike is a member of the New York Bar Association and a licensed CPA in the State of New Jersey.
